Winter Break Bus (End of Fall Semester / Start of Spring Semester)

The Winter Break bus runs a bit different than the other buses.  Since students finish up on finals on different days we run one bus home on Friday, December 17^th.  The bus home will stop at all four (4) locations; whereas the will be two buses back to WVU on Saturday, January 8^th with one bus picking up students at the Cherry Hill Train Station and the Delaware Rest Stop on I-95 and the other bus picking up students at the GSP Rest Stop at Milepost 100 and Hamilton Train Station.  

Note students are instructed to leave the dorm within 24 hours of their last exam.  However, they can exceed that time if they are using this bus, so long as they respect the no noise rule during finals week.  Also, note that dorms close at noon on Saturday, December 18^th, so all student must be out of the dorms by that time.  They are not required to move all their stuff out during the semester break; though it’s highly recommended that all valuable (i.e. printers, TV) are locked up in their closet.

To register for the bus the student must read the Assumption of the Risk and Waiver of Liability Relating to Coronavirus/COVID-19 clause on the form and agree to it without exception by clicking the acceptance button prior to being able to complete the registration form.

Cost: $125 (One-way to Home or One-way to WVU); $195 (Round-trip) 

No refunds will be issued for cancellation for this bus received after November 30th.

Other important information:

1. There is no ticket needed because the bus drive will have the list of name of students riding the bus. 
2. Please be on-time, because there are other buses leaving WVU and we only have a certain window we can be stopped to pick up students.
3. The Bus company name is “STARR” and the name is clearly marked on the bus.
4. No smoking or alcohol is permitted on the bus.
5. The bus may stop for a rest room break but not necessarily for food, so we recommend students bring a snack and drink. Note there is a toilet on the bus.
6. Luggage is limited to one (1) carry-on & one (1) large or two (2) small suitcase per rider. Note musical instruments for band members are permitted in addition to luggage noted above.
7. Bus is equipped with Wi-Fi and there are instructions on the bus on how to connect.
8. Please notify us of any plan changes, so the bus isn’t delayed trying to track down students.

2. Fill out the form and click the "Submit" button at the bottom of the form.
3. A confirmation email will be sent in a day or two after I record your registration in my spreadsheet.
4. Note that no refunds will be issued for cancellation received less than 20 days before the bus is scheduled to run from WVU.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Catching the bus is not an excusable reason to miss a class. Before booking either of these buses, please check your student’s schedule and make sure they do not have a class or can miss the class with no academic implication.
